Before the DvT conference, join us for a day-long workshop for didactic work, discussion, personal processing, and DvT inspired experientials.
Participants should be white DvT practitioners with a minimum of level one training, who want to:
•Understand more deeply your relationship with white privilege, fragility, and supremacy
•Learn how to receive, communicate, and embody an "accountability complex" (instead of a white savior or fragility response)
•Build capacity for playing with your own whiteness and stay in the conversation/play (self-awareness of own identity and your go-to defense when dealing with guilt and shame)
Please note: Applications are closed at this time.

How can drama therapy-based work act as a springboard for centering the lived experiences of all students, particularly those who have experienced marginalization and oppression? The ALIVE Program is a trauma-informed space where clinicians work with teachers to engage students in conversations around group dynamics, identity development, and how systems of power, privilege and oppression impact students' lives. This experiential workshop will give participants a chance to try out some of these exercises and discuss how this work could be applied in a variety of settings.
